BOURSIN

4 ounces unsalted butter, softened
8 ounces cream cheese OR goat cheese, softened
1 clove garlic, mashed to a paste with a bit of salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/8 teaspoon dried dill
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Mix ingredients together with mixer, food processor (pulse) or by hand with fork. Spoon into a small bowl; cover tightly and refrigerate. Bring to room temperature and serve with crackers and sliced fresh fruit.

Makes a cute gift basket with crackers and a small spreader.
