12 cups Jonathan apples, peeled, cored and sliced
6 cups sugar
6 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. ground allspice
Place all ingredients in a large slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 6-7 hours. Remove lid and continue to cook for 1 ½ hours, stirring occasionally until apple butter thickens to desired consistency.
